Follow our progress as we build premium EV charging infrastructure across Utah
Proposal submitted to property owner (CRG)
We've submitted our formal proposal to CRG, the property owner at Traverse Mountain. This marks the first step toward securing the site for our premium DC fast-charging hub.
Our proposal outlines the infrastructure design, amenities, and partnership structure to deliver a best-in-class charging experience.
Next Steps:
Preliminary feedback expected in the coming weeks
Site walkthrough and technical assessment
Refinement of terms and timeline
Tesla NDA executed—program options in review
We've executed a non-disclosure agreement with Tesla to explore participation in their charging partner program. We are now reviewing available options.
Our goal is to ensure compatibility with all EVs while leveraging Tesla's network expertise and technology standards.
Key Considerations:
NACS (Tesla) and CCS compatibility
Integration with Tesla's network management
Uptime and reliability standards alignment
UDOT NEVI clarification: treating Traverse as private/partnership site
The Utah Department of Transportation clarified that NEVI funding currently focuses on publicly owned or partnership sites. Our Traverse Mountain hub will be treated as a private/partnership site, shaping our funding strategy accordingly.
We continue to evaluate grants, incentives, and private investment opportunities to deliver best-in-class charging infrastructure.
This clarity allows us to move forward with a financing structure optimized for private-sector efficiency and premium service delivery.
Siting and scoping underway for future locations
Beyond Traverse Mountain, we're actively scouting and scoping additional locations in South Jordan and the Orem/Provo corridor.
Our site selection criteria prioritize:
High-traffic corridors and destinations
Proximity to retail, dining, and services
Utility infrastructure capacity
Safe, accessible environments
We're excited to expand SEI's network across Utah's Wasatch Front.
